Ten female teams competed in this year's edition of ADACHI CUP in two categories: Premiership and Championship. Our biggest volleyball event in a calendar year, previously held in Japan (Osaka) and Singapore, this year took place at the UWCSEA East campus. We played across two sports halls and four volleyball courts.
This tournament carries the name of one of the most famous FIVB coaches and instructors - Tatsuya Adachi, who suddenly passed away in 2015. Since then, IVC has organized this memorial tournament yearly to honor his volleyball legacy.
Four IVC teams participated this year: Elite and Varsity teams in the Premiership category and Junior Varsity & Advanced Futures in the Championship category.
We are so proud and happy to say that this was the most successful edition of the Adachi Cup for IVC Teams. All our teams were on the podium! The IVC Elite team won the Premiership division, while the IVC Varsity team took second place. In the Championship category, IVC Advanced Futures won second place, while our Junior Varsity team ended up third. Wow! What an achievement! We are so proud of our ladies!
Huge thanks to all our partners who helped us organize this event and to all the referees, players, parents, and supporters. It was amazing to see all the crowd, have a great atmosphere, and play some very entertaining matches.
Looking forward to next year's edition of the Adachi Cup!
